A young meter reader, allowed into the compound,  was peering at the wall mounted electricity meter, 10' up the wall from the floor
 - THROUGH BINOCULARS -

When asked if he really needed the extra visual aid :


His reply:
"It's *employer-provided-equipment*" 


     Whether he needed the BINOCULARS to help see clearly
and read the meter correctly,
only 10 feet from the floor,
                   

is NOT the issue.


His answer is reminiscent of the .. 'famed' response to the query:
    Why Mount Everest was scaled :

"..Because it was there.."

 So now you know :)
