Is there anything to "fear”?
About the Chinese or People of that ethnicity?
No - for it is not the ethnic make up of any Homo S  one need fear -
 What need be concerned with is, what, who & how a HomoS (or an entire group) formulates its attitude toward other HomoS’s; what actions are then initiated as a Country’s National Laws/Fatwas/Constitutions,  or quietly as a personal bias discriminating/against/for certain 'others'.
Does anyone (dare)claim to have not ever cast any stones? 1st or 2nd  or any stone at all - even virtual ones like implanting that seed of insufficient embrace or implying evil in others (N. Korea)
Despite one’s (professed) love for one's GOD & all other objects one imagines one's God wishes one to love, one’s *LOVE(?) for others whom GOD would  surely also love [as HE LOVEs all HUMANkind-all LIFE] one need to relook, review & consider again, in the light of that greater embrace of HIS LOVE.
The limited [partial, biased, narrow] focus one has for one's group of - members? Brothers & Sisters in XTY? fellow éMerocans? Friends, Romåns & Countrymen? Parishioners? whom one supposedly 'Loves'(?) (with personal & especially RELIGIOUSLY justified 'good' 'correct & god sanctioned emotions) -  almost alwaz serve to reinforce one’s good feeling for oneself. 
A self presumed charitable act supposedly initiating a sacrifice FOR someone else which in actuality is serving self.
If you classify  that as "love" check with mother Snake, or sister Scorpion, or brother Brigand, or cousin Plunderer, or nephew Rapist, or your friendly caring concerned neighborhood Politicos /Statesmen -
Love based & directed toward one’s feel good in giving showing or sharing  - cannot be & definitely is NOT love.
      not THAT emotion similar or near GOD-like LOVE.

Rather it is reinforcing of one’s need to feel good about oneself - a selfish feeling which Homo S’s has never been able to rise above.
Sad tragic despite eon’s of God-ness showered on, embedded into & bled over us through the many ‘giants' who came and went.
That pettiness will only be liberated by  ———
